Sedum Donkey Tail (Sedum morganianum)

Sedum Donkey Tail, also known as Burro’s Tail, is a trailing succulent famous for its long, pendulous stems covered in fleshy, bluish-green leaves that resemble the tail of a donkey. It’s an eye-catching plant often used in hanging baskets, containers, or as a ground cover.

Care Tips:

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight. It can tolerate some direct sunlight but too much can cause the leaves to burn.
• Water: Water sparingly. Let the soil dry out completely between waterings, as overwatering can lead to root rot.
• Soil: Well-draining soil is essential, such as cactus or succulent mix.
• Temperature: Thrives in warm environments, but it’s sensitive to frost. It does well in temperatures between 60°F-85°F (15°C-29°C).
• Propagation: It can be propagated from cuttings. Simply take a healthy stem cutting and allow it to callus over before planting in well-draining soil.

Note: The plant’s trailing stems can become quite long, often reaching up to 3 feet (90 cm), so it’s best to give it space to cascade or use a hanging pot. Also, the delicate leaves can easily fall off, so handle with care.
